The best presentation skills workshops aren’t just learning

There’s something energizing about working with a team that is willing to step outside its comfort zone, try something new, and have a little fun in the process.

This week, we had the opportunity to spend the day with the team at ASSA ABLOY for a workshop focused on public speaking and business presentation skills.

Our goal wasn’t simply to help participants become better presenters. It was to help them become more effective communicators—people who can organize their ideas, connect with an audience, and deliver a message with clarity, confidence, and impact.

Throughout the workshop, we worked on practical skills that professionals can immediately put to use: structuring a presentation, telling a compelling story, using voice and body language more effectively, and engaging an audience rather than simply talking at them.

But the most valuable part of any communication workshop happens when people stop listening and start practicing.

And the ASSA ABLOY team jumped right in.

There were plenty of opportunities to step up, experiment with new techniques, receive feedback, and learn from one another. That kind of hands-on practice is where confidence begins to grow—and where presentation skills become real-world communication skills.

One of the things we enjoy most about this work is seeing that transformation happen during a single day. People often arrive thinking, “I’m not a great speaker,” only to discover that effective public speaking isn’t about being a natural performer. It’s about having the right tools, understanding your audience, and learning how to connect.

A big thank-you to the ASSA ABLOY team for your enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to participate. It was a pleasure working with you, and we look forward to the follow-up sessions.
